In RE this week, Class Three explored the themes of freedom and salvation in the story of Moses. We began by learning about the rest of the story of Moses before using drama to consider what Moses and the Pharaoh should have done using a conscience alley activity! The children had great and very interesting reasons for why Moses should have listened to God and not given up, why he should have gone against God’s will, why the Pharaoh should have ignored the instruction from Moses and also why he should have listened and freed the Hebrew slaves. The children then found the story of Moses in the Bible and used quotes to create their own comic strip to summarise the key points of the story! We also reflected on what we would have done in this scenario and how our school values could have been shown and used!
