Developing Role Play

Man on the Moon: writing in Reception
The children created a story map of Man on the Moon to explain Bob’s busy day. Then Reception wrote sentences about Bob, segmenting and blending sounds to help with spelling.
Teeth
In Science we looked at carnivores, herbivores and omnivores and the teeth they have for their diets. This led us to thinking about our own teeth and how we should care for them!

Writing sentences
Reception have been working hard in phonics learning new digraphs, they are now beginning to write dictated sentences!

Comparing animals
In Science we have been comparing animals. Do you know the difference between a reptile and amphibian? Which animal family has wings and a beak? Reception created some animal collages which stimulated discussion!
