To begin our first week back, we used the book, ‘In Our Hands’ as a hook for a variety of fun activities! The children loved planning, writing and sharing their own list poems of their favourite places along with thinking of ways they can love themselves along with the world around them. We also delved into our vision, values and motto and enjoyed Bible journalling before reflecting on how we are like the mustard seed. We then considered ways in which we wish to grow and flourish this year. Lastly, we focused on the variety of birds in our parable that nest in the branches of the mustard tree and created our own birds to represent how we are all unique yet equal! A brilliant start to the year in Oak Class!
