In Oak Class, we developed our oracy skills by using visual representations to create command sentences for our instruction writing. After turning statements into commands, the children considered how they can vary their use of vivid vocabulary when selecting imperative verbs. We also ensured that care was taken to ensure precise and accurate information is being given to our audience of the text, Beowulf. The children then wrote their own numbered steps using appropriate language, topic vocabulary and commas in a list!
