Digital Painting
In our Computing sessions we have been having fun using the IPads and a program called Paintz. We have been experimenting with line and colour. We were inspired by the work of Piet Mondrian to create designs using primary colours!
Computing: Scratch Jr
In computing Year 2 revisited how to use Scratch Jr. They added a new sprite, changed the background and created a sequence of commands. Then they worked with the Reception children and showed them how to program. Great teamwork!
Safer Internet Day
For Safer Internet Day we looked at spotting scams and how to play online games safely. We helped Digi-duck make the right choices! We also explored how to create safe passwords and followed a recipe to make our own!
Computing Class 3
In computing, Class Three learned that computers send data across the internet in packets. We discussed the two main parts to a packet: the header and the data payload. After watching a video which demonstrated the transfer of information online, the children created their own data packets and…
iMovie - 10.06.24
Today we combined construction and IT to create our very own miniature movies. We created stories using Lego and built various settings to help set the scene. We then used iMovie to make our films adding music, credits and captions. All our movies will be at a cinema near you soon!

Computing - Creating Yes/No Databases
For computing this week, children created yes no databases using different selections of items. They had to creat3 questions to create a pathway to each object.
Moving bee bot left and right
Over the past two weeks we have been looking at giving robots different commands. We previously looked at forwards and backwards before moving onto left and right this week. We carefully followed instructions and predicted which symbol our bee bot would land on.
Computing - exploring programmable toys
In Computing we are exploring programmable toys. Today we found out about the buttons and functions on the Beebot and Robot Mouse, inputting simple directions to find out what happens
