Class 2

Class Two enjoyed their Christmas lunch with their friends, listening to Christmas music and telling their jokes (all week long)! What a lovely time we had! P

Thank you to our local villagers who came to our recent intergenerational meet up. The children enjoyed reading and playing board games with you. We are looking forward to next month!  

Class Two really loved learning all about Diwali and making their own Diva lamp in a recent RE lesson! 

Over the past few weeks, our growing artists have been exploring the technique of frottage and the creation of botanical drawings. The children have made some beautiful pieces of artwork that they should be very proud of - well done Class Two!
 

Anti-Bullying Week in Class Two! The children participated in activities to explore how being different is special. We explored our superpowers and how they can be used to help others who understand how bullying can make other people feel. 

Class Two this week leant all about Remembrance Day. They shared their gratitude to those who served in both World Wars through letters and prayers. Thank you to the children and parents who have kindly donated to the poppy appeal.

In science this week, Class Two learnt about sedimentary rocks and fossil formation. The children explored this further through a practical activity, creating their own fossils with layers of bread! 

As Class Two continue to explore the features of a mosque, children were invited to explore Islamic artefacts this week. The children practised the four prayer positions whilst admiring the Quranic art and Islamic calligraphy before creating their own.
