Congratulations to our Spirited Arts winners at Mary Howard! They were very excited to post their competition entries for judging at the village post box!
Measuring plant growth
We looked again at our sweetpeas to check if they were growing shoots and leaves.
In only a few days we spotted some real changes, helped along by the warm weather!
Class Two: ThinkTank!
Class Two had an amazing time on our school trip to the ThinkTank this week! Our little scientists explored the Planetarium, Our Changing Planet and Futures sections of the museum, as well as enjoying the outdoor science garden and a special light show to link to this terms science topic!

Thinktank
We had an amazing day out in Birmingham visiting Thinktank. Lots of hands-on and practical activities to try! The science garden was fantastic!
Thinktank!
What a fabulous trip to the Thinktank! Class Three loved the science garden in particular! We enjoyed a forensic heist workshop, which involved taking our own fingerprints and examining different types of evidence (including trace, impression, biological and digital) to solve a crime!
Justifying opinions in French!
In French today, Class Three gave opinions on where to visit in a French town. They used adjectives to justify their reasoning and some children even used connectives to expand on their opinions!
Spirited Arts competition
We used Class 1 Bibles to give us inspiration for our competition entries.
Time
Year 2 have been learning to tell the time to the nearest five minutes!
Canvas Art!
Mary Howard continued with their Kandinsky inspired artwork. The children used wax crayons and water pastels to create their colourful canvases!
