Willow’s Independent Writing and Performing!
Well done to Willow for your beautiful published writing so far! This week, we practiced our oracy skills when performing our very own poem.
Odd Socks Day
We had great fun dancing to Andy and the Odd Socks but their song had a serious message - everyone has the power to do something about bullying and help others!
Thanks to everyone who wore odd socks to raise awareness about Anti-bullying week.
Bonfire art
Remember, remember the 5th of November!
We talked about bonfire and fireworks safety and created our own bonfire pictures using coloured paper, paint and glitter!
Making predictions!
Oak Class began the half term by making predictions about their new book! The children were given images of mystery items from the text and had to consider who the items might be used by and what for. The classroom was fizzing with excitement for our new unit!
Make your mark
Our art this term is all about line and pattern. We explored different types of line and repeated our favourite experiments to create a whole class piece of work.
Evacuation Teddies!
Oak Class concluded their DT learning this half term by stuffing their evacuation teddy bears and finishing their blanket stitches! The children then evaluated their final products - an excellent unit of work that required lots of perseverance. Well done, Oak Class!
Wellbeing Day
We had a fantastic wellbeing day at St Andrew’s. We met Steel from Gladiators who told us how he stays mentally strong and positive. It gave us lots of motivation to always try our best!
Oak Lego Workshop
Oak Class absolutely loved their Lego workshop! We had the challenge of working together to create: a day at the park, a beautiful garden and a dream house! Super teamwork demonstrated - thank you FOMH!
Addition and subtraction
We have been working hard in Maths exploring part whole models and using them to write number sentences!
Lego workshop
We had great fun today being creative at the Lego workshop.
Many thanks to Friends of Mary Howard!
