This week we have completed maths activities linked to weight. We have compared objects using heavier and lighter using the balance scales. We have looked at the difference between grams and kilograms.

Our maths this week has been all about length and height. We have completed lots of practical activities with standard and non-standard units.

Year 1 have started a new maths topic to develop their place value skills. They have practiced counting to 50 and using base ten to partition numbers.

Year 2 are making the link between repeated addition and multiplication facts

An excellent start back with Class Three demonstrating wisdom in maths! Year Five revisited and consolidated their prior learning of adding and subtracting fractions with different denominators. Year Six learned how to multiply fractions and revised multiplying a fraction by an integer too.

Children love learning their timestables, so we have created competitive games using a game board and dice. A great bit of fun and you can download these from our class page to play at home.
