In Science this week, Class Three modelled Darwin’s natural selection. After studying how Darwin explored variation in finches across the Galápagos Islands, the children considered how and why beak shape may affect how much food is eaten (consequently affecting population size). We worked in partners to carry out a fair test by only changing one variable. The children then made conclusions from their findings!
