In science this week Class Two investigated and described shadows based on materials. They were able to write a conclusion using the key vocabulary: opaque, transparent and translucent. Well done Class Two!
Position and direction
Some collaborative learning and problem solving in Maths this week. The children had to program a Robot Mouse to move around a track collecting cheese! They had to use forwards, backwards, left, right and turn functions to work out a route! This helped our position and direction knowledge!

Class Two: Reflective Surfaces
In science, Class Two explored reflective surfaces through a classroom hunt! Through this discovery learning, Class Two identified which properties makes an item reflective and understood how light bounces off them into a new direction. Well Done Class Two!
Computing: Scratch Jr
In computing Year 2 revisited how to use Scratch Jr. They added a new sprite, changed the background and created a sequence of commands. Then they worked with the Reception children and showed them how to program. Great teamwork!
