Subitising 3 and 4
Reception have been looking at the different ways 3 and 4 can be made. The Numberblocks help us to remember! Today they made their own subitising cards with spots and stickers!
Writing poetry
Year 2 have been thinking about what makes them unique to create Who am I? poems. We celebrated what makes us special and some of the children are now using handwriting pens for writing too!
Class Two: Science
In science this week, Class Two learnt about sedimentary rocks and fossil formation. The children explored this further through a practical activity, creating their own fossils with layers of bread!
Class Two: RE
As Class Two continue to explore the features of a mosque, children were invited to explore Islamic artefacts this week. The children practised the four prayer positions whilst admiring the Quranic art and Islamic calligraphy before creating their own.
Investigating woodland habitats
Today we researched woodland habitats and the animals that might live there using the iPads.We found out about diet, predators and shelters to create fact cards for a fox, barn owl and a dormouse.
